The Intertribal Resource Center (ITRC) is one of six Campus Community Resource Centers serving the UC San Diego campus. We are focused on supporting Native American students and promoting educational access in our tribal communities.

Always, but especially during these uncertain times, the ITRC wishes you and your loved ones health and well-being. Updates regarding the university's response to the Covid-19 situation can be found here: https://coronavirus.ucsd.edu/.

We're getting ready to reopen our doors for Fall quarter and welcome you back - masked and vaccinated! We continue to monitor UCSD's Return to Learn guidelines as we return to in-person activities safely and cautiously. We also expect to continue online and hybrid programs and events as appropriate and/or necessary. Stay safe friends. Please follow us on social media for ongoing updates and announcements. Thanks for being part of our online community, we can't wait to see you again in person. If you need to reach someone, please email us at itrc@ucsd.edu. For now and always, take care of yourself and each other.

Land Acknowledgement

The UC San Diego community holds great respect for the land and the original people of the area where our campus is located.  The university is built on the un-ceded territory of the Kumeyaay Nation.  Today, the Kumeyaay people continue to maintain their political sovereignty and cultural traditions as vital members of the San Diego community.  We acknowledge their tremendous contributions to our region and thank them for their stewardship.

*The Intertribal Resource Center is working with Kumeyaay community members and the campus community to create an official statement for UC San Diego.  The above statement is a temporary draft currently used by the Intertribal Resource Center.

Welcome!

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you in to our campus community.

This is an exciting time for the ITRC! Students, staff and faculty have long advocated for the creation of a Campus Community Center that is focused on Native American students and communities. With the hiring of the inaugural Director in 2016, the ITRC is primed to initiate all new programming for current and prospective students; as well as building partnerships with local Native communities and education programs.

Email, call or drop in for a visit! There's a place just for you at the Intertribal Resource Center.
